Selden, NY –May 30, 2017 – FutureTix recently announced that industry operations executive, Joan Sullivan has joined the FutureTix team as a Senior Project Consultant. Her background in guest services, ADA law, ticketing and venue management will provide an additional layer of expertise in FutureTix’s established business verticals and broaden the company’s service offerings to the live entertainment industry.
“This is an incredible opportunity and I am humbled to have been recruited to join the well-respected FutureTix team”, comments Sullivan. “This move is significant to me both professionally and personally – to be collaborating with the likes of three of my industry mentors: Karen Sullivan, Bob Beatty, and Dan DeMato, well let’s just say the bar is extremely high!”
Joan believes that the live entertainment ticketing landscape is at a very interesting crossroads. “The lines have clearly blurred between the primary and secondary markets making pricing decisions even more critical and sometimes fluid. Leaders are challenged to uncover new revenue streams and make strategic technology choices based on a bombardment of system options, and integrations. Guest experience and fan engagement requirements are at an all-time high—–many times with limited staff to support lofty goals. FutureTix has developed a stellar reputation for helping solve those equations, exceeding these goals, and identifying unrealized potential – whether revenue or otherwise – within teams and venues. The FutureTix client list is impressive and expanding all the time and I hope my diverse background will allow it to increase even further.”
Joan is a well-regarded veteran with more than two decades of experience in ticketing and venue management. In her most recent role as an MSG Vice-President she oversaw accessibility customer & ticket services, disabled community relations, and ADA compliance for all the company’s venues including Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, the Beacon Theatre, and the LA Forum, as well as the New York Rangers and Knicks. Joan also played a lead role in the MSG renovation and grand reopening of the Forum. Prior to joining MSG, Joan worked in senior level positions at the New York Mets, Spectra (Paciolan) Ticketing & Fan Engagement, the Seattle Seahawks, Naval Academy, Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Museum of Art; and the Olympic Games in Sydney, Beijing, Vancouver, and London.
“Joan is a strong leader with unparalleled experience across our industry and I am thrilled to welcome her on board”, noted Dan DeMato, the Founder and Principal of FutureTix, “I worked with Joan extensively while she was our consultant at the New York Mets and followed her career for many years. I feel very fortunate to have her join our team. She brings the vast array of experience across genres that will help us expand our offerings to sports and entertainment community”.
