Fresno, Calif.-based ticketing solutions company VisionOne announced its $33 million acquisition by London-based Accesso Technology Group. The buyout will include VisionOne Worldwide's North American trading subsidiary and its Mexican and Brazilian operations, but former VisionOne subsidiaries in Chile, Argentina, Switzerland, and Austria will not be included in the merger. VisionOne CEO Bruno Boehi will remain as president of Accesso's VisionOne division in Fresno. "By combining our technology with Accesso's award-winning solutions and established relationships, we can significantly accelerate our shared vision of leveraging technology to build better connections between venues and consumers around the world," Boehi says. The most desirable holding in the arrangement is ShoWare, VisionOne's customizable cloud-based software employed by more than 475 venues and leisure organizations across the Americas to process more than 19 million tickets a year. "By developing a platform that improves collaboration between venues, promoters, and entertainers, VisionOne has capitalized on a unique opportunity within the live entertainment industry," says Accesso CEO Tom Burnet. "By offering an affordable self-service ticketing solution backed by 24/7 support, ShoWare is well positioned to continue their rapid growth in an underserved marketplace." In December 2013, Accesso acquired Siriusware, a ticketing and guest management point-of-sale technology supplier to the attractions and leisure sectors.
