British ticketing website Bookitbee has been enjoying success since it launched in 2011. The site, which sells tickets to music festivals and other types of events that take place in England, brought in more than 5 million British pounds in revenue last year and has already made 2.5 million British pounds so far this year. The company's founders, Kenton Ward and Frank Di Mauro, are encouraged enough to expand by hiring as many as 30 staffers over the next three years. Di Mauro says the company's success can be attributed to several factors, such as the personal, local service it provides as well as its lower prices for tickets. Di Mauro notes Bookitbee is able to offer lower prices because it cuts out the middleman, and sells tickets that are provided directly by event organizers. Ward believes the company could become a global operation. “We would like to become a well-known global ticketing brand,” he says. “We have got big plans and it is a question of making sure we keep plugging away at it.”
