HOUSTON, Feb. 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Houston Dynamo have reached a multi-year agreement with AXS which will enable the team to implement Flash Seats, the company's digital ticketing and secondary marketplace technology. The Los Angeles-based company will be the exclusive provider for primary and secondary ticket sales for all Dynamo home games and all events at BBVA Compass Stadium, the club announced today.

Flash Seats gives fans a secure online portal where they can buy and sell event seats safely and conveniently, as well as use their smart phones as a paperless ticket. The patented system has been used at sporting events all over the country and saves fans the time and hassle of printing and keeping track of paper tickets. The system also allows fans to safely and digitally transfer their tickets to other people if they are unable to attend an event, for example.

"We are excited to introduce Flash Seats at all of our Dynamo, Dash and Stadium events, and we believe that this will make things easier for fans," said Dynamo President Chris Canetti. "Our whole world is becoming more and more mobile, and ticketing is no different. This platform gives fans the ability to control their whole ticketing experience from start to finish from their phone, while also providing added safety and security."

Although the club is transitioning to Flash Seats, fans still have the ability to utilize paper tickets and print-at-home tickets for this season, providing even more flexibility. Dynamo fans have three ways in which to access the stadium with their ticket:

  1. By using Flash Seats, either via the Flash Seats App or through the credit card, driver's license or Season Ticket Member card associated with their Flash Seats account
  2. With a paper ticket purchased at the box office or shipped as part of their season ticket package
  3. With an e-mailed ticket, either on their phone or printed at home

The Flash Seats Marketplace will also become the official secondary ticket marketplace for Houston Dynamo tickets. Fans who can't make it to a game can easily list their tickets for sale on the Flash Seats Marketplace, allowing them to easily and safely resell them with just the click of a button, all within their Flash Seats account.

"The Dynamo have embraced a 'fans first' approach with their adoption of the Flash Seats," said Bryan Perez, CEO of AXS. "As the leading digital ticket format in MLS, Flash Seats gives their fans unprecedented convenience to buy, sell, share or simply use their tickets to enter BBVA Compass Stadium with the touch of a button, and buyers are protected knowing their purchases are 100% authenticated."

For fans who received paper or electronic tickets and wish to re-sell them, they simply need to convert their ticket to Flash Seats by calling the Dynamo ticket service office at 713-276-7500. Those tickets will be re-issued as Flash Seats, at which point a user can list them for sale within the Flash Seats Marketplace.

The AXS technology platform gives the Dynamo and BBVA Compass Stadium the ability to unify all ticketing operations in one place, allowing them to provide the most up-to-the-minute customer service as well as the most flexible customer service solutions and offerings to season ticket holders and fans.

AXS already works with major sports venues such as the Toyota Center in Downtown Houston, Texas A&M's Kyle Field, the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City and the Pepsi Center in Denver. In addition to the Dynamo, the company works with other Major League Soccer teams including Real Salt Lake, FC Dallas, Colorado Rapids and the LA Galaxy.

The Houston Dynamo are a Major League Soccer club that has won two MLS Cup championships and four conference championships in its first 10 seasons and qualified to represent the United States in international competition six times. The team trains in the Houston Methodist Champions' Field at Houston Sports Park (HSP), the premier training facility in Southeast Texas, and plays at BBVA Compass Stadium in downtown Houston.
