34th Annual Conference and Exhibition — Magical Service Sparks Real Results!
January 29-31, 2013
Who Attends and Why
Participation and interaction with industry peers is the key to knowledge and innovation. The annual conference offers formal educational sessions and informal social gatherings to learn from industry leaders. Economic shifts and technological advances are changing operational standards and customer interactions. Colleagues are maintaining operations with fewer resources, developing successful sales strategies to generate more revenue and training staff to communicate with customers online. The INTIX conference is an opportunity to share new ideas through discussions with peers and gain valuable insight and knowledge that will support you and ensure the success of your organization.
The conference is designed for anyone directly or indirectly involved in ticketing the arts, professional sports, college athletics, arenas, fairs and festivals, ticket distribution, and entertainment management. It attracts vice presidents, directors, managers and other senior level executives representing the broadest range of those working in ticket sales and operations, marketing, technology, finance, revenue management, and customer service.
Participation in INTIX as a member and conference registrant results in knowledge, innovation and a connection with colleagues. Experiencing the conference first hand energizes and motivates professionals to implement new ideas and make improvements once they return to work from the conference. Here are a few quotes from 2011 conference attendees:
”It is always good to build face to face relationships with the vendors and your peers in the industry, there is no better place to do this than at INTIX..”
“By attending sessions and networking with professionals in a wide variety of fields (sports, universities, concerts, performing arts venues, etc.), we were able to get a lot of new ideas outside the realm of what we are usually exposed to.”
“INTIX is a great organization to be a part of and helps you learn and understand the industry trends. One of the best things I take away is the networking with my peers. It's truly one of the only ways to really find out how others handle all the various changes we come across on a day to day basis.”
“Every time I attend an INTIX conference I learn so much that I can bring back to my organization and potentially implement. This is also the only conference I can network with ticketing and admission professionals.”

CONFERENCE CITY
Orlando offers hundreds of ways to inspire. From world-famous theme parks and attractions to upscale shops and restaurants and sports and cultural events, Orlando offers something for everyone. Whether you want to swim with dolphins, tee it up on an award-winning golf course, drive a race car or conquer the roller coasters. Orlando has just the adventure for you.
With more than 300 days of sunshine each year and average annual temperatures in the mid-70s, every day is a perfect opportunity to get outside and explore. Spend an afternoon on the links or explore the area’s more than 2000 lakes, rivers and springs.
Orlando hosts the NBA’s Orlando Magic at Amway Center in downtown, and Major League Baseball’s must-see, pre-season action includes spring training with the Atlanta Braves at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports. In addition, The University of Central Florida and Rollins College sports programs offer a terrific lineup of local collegiate competition, and fans pack the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium in support of their favorite Big Ten or SEC team in the highly regarded Capital One Bowl.
Orlando’s cultural, historic and natural offerings are gems just waiting for you to discover. It has the cornerstones of any cultural capital – ballet, theatre, philharmonic orchestra, and noted art museums to name a few. But it doesn’t end there. A slew of popular – and acclaimed – festivals celebrating the best in visual arts, film, music, fringe, and even cabaret occur year round. Add to that a wide selection of art galleries featuring up-an-coming artists and museums that chronicle our history in a way that is both educational – and entertaining. This unique blend of old and new, established and eclectic is what makes Orlando so appealing.
