Sundance Institue Selects TopTix to Support Ticket Sales for Sundance Film Festival

Annual Sundance Film Festival Attracts 46,000 people from around the world who purchase individual tickets, ticket packages, passes and credentials
 
Charleston, SC (October 27, 2016)—Sundance Institute has signed on with TopTix, based in Charleston, SC, to create a seamless experience for customer ticketing, including integration with the Sundance Film Festival online program guide.  
 
Sundance Institute was keen on simplifying the online ticketing experience as well as integrating the ticketing process with the Festival’s mobile application, which serves as a real-time reference guide for patrons, providing screening locations as well as powering the Festival’s e-waitlist system. Following an intensive selection process, the Institute selected TopTix and its advanced ticketing system—SRO4.
 
“Sundance Institute has a broad audience of film lovers, press, industry, volunteers and members from around the world. We were looking for a system that could scale with us to accommodate the unique needs of all of our constituents and provide a seamless purchase experience for the Sundance Film Festival,” said Linda Pfafflin, Sundance Institute’s Associate Director of Ticketing. “We really liked the flexibility and configurability of SRO4 and its ability to handle a large volume of concurrent customer transactions.”
 
Sundance Institute started working with TopTix personnel in June, mapping out workflow for box office and online transactions, member registration, and future integration with the Festival mobile app—using SRO’s open API. Online sales of festival passes and ticket packages for a national audience opened on October 26th. Individual tickets for a national audience go on sale on sundance.org/tickets on January 17, 2017
