MLBAM, the digital media company representing Major League Baseball (MLB), says it is integrating Experience Pass technology into its MLB.com Ballpark mobile app. Experience Pass adds digital elements to the game experience of sports fans at the ballpark. The partnership will enable the Ballpark mobile app to present baseball fans with a subscription to a particular block of games or season tickets. Moreover, the app can authorize last-minute conformations for attendance, promoting flexible seating for every game. "Experience's Pass technology has opened doors for our MLB clubs by reaching fans with a flexible, 100-percent mobile subscription for games," says MLBAM's Mark Plutzer. "We think our fans, particularly younger baseball fans, will find this offering and its variety of options for going to multiple games appealing." Both the Atlanta Braves and Texas Rangers are using Experience Pass to offer access to 21 games during April and May, and the Rangers also are promoting a deal named Rangers7, which gives fans access to seven games and discounted Papa John's Pizza. "MLB fans are embracing the flexible mobile subscription, typically buying out the Pass allotment within days of teams offering the packages," says Experience Pass president Ben Ackerman.
