Cleveland-based ticketing service Veritix is merging with ticket seller Outbox AXS to form a consumer-focused, digital ticketing service that will generate a combined $2 billion in annual revenue. The companies say the merger "will partner the consumer-focused interface and ticketing platform of Outbox AXS, including AXS Invite and the AXS Waiting Room, with Veritix's industry-leading season ticket management technology and its inventive Flash Seats digital, ID-based ticketing technology.” Outbox AXS CEO Bryan Perez says the merger combines "the best technology and services" by partnering Outbox AXS' consumer outreach with Veritix's digital, ID-based ticketing process. The merged company will provide ticketing services to nearly a quarter of National Basketball Association teams and a third of Major League Baseball teams. Veritix co-founder Gerace Gilbert says the merger will further his "vision of empowering teams and venues with the best solutions to drive insights and fan delight." Perez says the merger is about more than ticketing. "It's about combining the best technology and services to create the only platform in the industry that engages with consumers beyond ticketing through every phase of the event lifecycle," he says.
