2015 Super Bowl Tickets Just as Expensive as 2014...for Now

SBTickets.com estimates the average ticket price for Super Bowl XLIX is $3,350, nearly as much as last year's Super Bowl; the 2014 game had tickets available for as low as $1,250 in the days leading up to the event, which is about $400 less than the $1,624 get-in rate for this year's game. Still, pricing for Super Bowl tickets on the secondary market may experience dramatic changes, with the two teams that ultimately compete greatly impacting the demand for tickets. A rematch between the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos would most likely be pricey, but with both fan bases already paying a significant amount of money last year, tickets will fall significantly below last year's Super Bowl price. A more costly 2015 Super Bowl could come from games involving the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers, and Dallas Cowboys. Both Green Bay and Pittsburgh fans travel very well and would fuel higher demand for tickets, but a match with the Dallas Cowboys would likely see the highest ticket prices, as it would be the first time the team makes the Super Bowl in 19 years, and there is significant pent-up demand from their fan base.
